Wishing you an enLIGHTENING NEW YEAR – 2015.

As I look back on the year gone by I stand still in gratitude.

The invisible hand of God has vividly guided me through the alleys of my life.

 Every bit of our journey is shaded with the gentle touch of God, and I am blessed.

The Twists and turns of life were not always pleasant, but were surprisingly providential.

The year was eventful, engrossing, enriching and above all grace filled.

Yet another year of abundant blessings and benevolence.

 If God was all-pervading in His accompaniment, friends were persistent in their care.

Their laughter, smile, support, silent disapproval, stern warnings were symbols of love.

These were abundant, appropriate and unceasing.

You are one among those blessings in our life and I thank you for being what YOU are to me.

Life would have been far more dry had your support not been there.

 As We step into a new year I say a prayer for you.

May God walk with you, hold your hands gently and lead you all through the New Year 2015 – be a beacon of Light.

May you become the apple of His eye and bearer of His affirming presence.

May no evil pass by you and no slander slay your peace and joy.

May your efforts continue create better world for all.

SOCIAL SERVICE is MY PASSION

I am Vedha,

               I have been one among the enlightened who are born for and who are dedicated themselves for the well being & enrichment of the society. During my schooling I had a gracious chance to involve in social empowerment movements by the support of social organization Arivoli Iyakkam and I was inspired by Nehru Yuva kendra that the leadership of today’s youngsters are most important for the transformation, revolution of the society. So from that moment I had unlimited zeal and enthusiastic thirst to do the best to my society as much as I can. 

               I read Tamil Literature for my undergraduate degree in Government College in Walajahpet despite my family financial background was in pathetic condition. Successfully I completed my degree and developed habits to read books pertaining to the social transformation and strengthened good relationship with the people of like mind. This attitude urged me to Master Social Work studies (MSW) in Madras Christian College (MCC) at Tambaram in Chennai. I have voluntarily involved in many social upliftment activities even while studying and worked with many other people who were really interested in society’s development. I felt in fact it as a gift and finally am living social work which has become part of my life.

               I have chosen Vellore as the head office for all my movements because It was the place where I was born and brought up. I am well known to the people and to their problems in the year 2004 I initiated THENDRAL Movement with the acronym “The Holistic Eagerly Nature development Related Alternative Life” for the luminous development of the Women & Children.

Our Thendral Movement was registered in the Government in the year 2006 while self employment for women was under process.  Ranipet became head for Thendral Movement which rooted in all over Tamilnadu. This Movement specially based on dalits (SC/ST) empowerment, Children and Youth development. We extended our service in family counseling, women’s rights, Legal support, against sexual abuse, women’s liberation and etc., We have been still continuing the women’s liberation service for more than 15 years. 200 children, 35 villages were ultimately benefited, 150 family problems were resolved.

               I’ve explained the problematic situation of our Indian women in world political conference held at Italy, at Cultural Conference in Sweden. I have also presented a my paper on the theme “Agro Feminism”  in the year 2012 at (EGEP) Ewha, Global empowerment Programme organized by Asian Women’s Forum at South Korean’s Women’s University. I have participated in Women’s development training programme in Srilanka in the year 2013.

               I am glad in deed to record at this moment that Thendral Movement is growing & journeying boundlessly with the rich experience, well plan and ambition. There so many who are behind me understanding my ideology and ambition shouldering me for the society along with my Mother who is one with nature at this moment, my dad, siblings, children, friends, network organizations and well-wishers. I owe my heartfelt thanks and love to everyone who are one with me my growth. Awards always encourage us;  hence, I was celebrated by the awards like ‘Star of Tamilnadu’ by National Cultural Integration corporate, ‘Best Kalvi Vazhi Katti’ award by Kali Vazhikaatti centre, ‘Dr.Ambedkar Award’ by PADS organization. At present I am completing my Masters degree in Yoga for Human Excellence in Bharathithasan University.
